Steps to install zen-do to use on the command-line.

Before installing zen-do, you need to have Rust and Cargo installed. zen-do currently is only available on the GitHub repository and needs to be built from the source files. You can download the repository and build the package by running the following command:

cargo install --git https://github.com/seedcase-project/zen-do

Cargo installs packages in different folders, depending on your operating system:

On MacOS or Linux:

Terminal

cd $HOME/.cargo/bin

On Windows:

Terminal

cd %USERPROFILE%\.cargo\bin

Note

Since zen-do is not yet on crates.io, you also need to have Git installed on your computer. When we officially release zen-do, you won’t need Git to install zen-do and will be able to install using the command:

cargo install zen-do

To confirm that zen-do was installed correctly, run:

zen-do --version
